Best and most economical option on the Whittier side of the tunnel. Campground itself is not bad. Right on the waterfront within walking distance to town and the Portage Pass Trail. Nice views. Fast internet on ATT and Verizon. Good for solar(no trees). Campground is a gravel lot with sites around the edge. The only real detraction is the noise from the nearby mine that seemed to be operating 24/7. Pay at the the harbor masters office (very friendly and helpful staff). There is no pay kiosk at the campground.
